Bilingual Receptionist

RAICES is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost immigration legal services and education to immigrant children, families and refugees. We currently seek a full-time bilingual receptionist for our office located at 2800 I-H 35 South, Suite 215, Austin, Texas 78704.  

Our office is a dynamic, innovative, passionate, and caring team committed to working alongside our immigrant clients.  We seek a receptionist who will greet clients in crisis with a smile, while maintaining a high degree of organization.   


  • Greeting and welcoming clients and guests in our busy and child-friendly office;
  • Ordering, organizing and maintaining office supply orders;
  • Submitting and keeping track of maintenance requests;
  • Organizing, checking for, logging and distributing mail;
  • Ensuring conference room, copy room, and waiting room areas are kept tidy;
  • Answering and directing telephone calls in English and Spanish; 
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining office calendars; 
  • Managing the daily register and weekly cash deposits;
  • Acting as liaison with IT support;
  • Data entry support as assigned; and 
  • Additional clerical and support duties, as needed.


  • Fully fluent (written and spoken) in both the English and Spanish languages; 
  • Polite and professional customer service ability;
  • Experience working with children preferred, as our waiting room is often filled with children;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, all Google Drive Services and Apps, internet and general office equipment experience;
  • Detail-oriented;
  • Excellent organizational skills; and
  • Some travel within the Austin area may be required and applicant must possess and use his or her own vehicle and automobile insurance.

Terms & Conditions: Salary commensurate with experience; Office hours are 8 am - 5 pm
