Resettlement Case Manager


Position available:

RAICES seeks to hire a full-time Resettlement Case Manager that provides required services in the Reception and Placement (R&P), Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA), and Match Grant (MG) programs. Coordinates the delivery of R&P, RCA, MG services. Works independently by following standard practices and procedures.  Provides support and assistance to the Program Director and Program Manager with program development, implementation and growth.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides case management services to refugees and other displaced persons to include coordination of housing, orientation, client education, and other basic needs enrollments within program requirements and time frames utilizing in-house services and referrals to external service providers within the community
  • Assists the client to engage in activities that will facilitate the client’s self-sufficiency and ability to perform tasks independently
  • Coordinates the provision of interpretation and translation services to clients when needed or required
  • Provides safe and supervised transport for clients to off-site appointments or activities as needed or confirms public transport capabilities.
  • Completes all case notes and program documentation, ensures accuracy and compliance within program guidelines and confirms timely delivery of services
  • Enters data in the agency database in a timely manner
  • Assists in recruiting, training, and developing staff and volunteers
  • Communicates, coordinates and promotes the program with the community and partners
  • Serve as an advocate for clients
  • Compiles program statistics, submits reports to the funding source timely
  • Local travel using own vehicle
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Graduate of an accredited 4 year college or university with major coursework in Social Work or a related field. A comparable amount of training and experience in social services may be substituted for degree
  • High English language proficiency and excellent communication skills both verbal and written required
  • Computer proficient including Microsoft Office  and Google applications required
  • Bilingual in one or more relevant refugee languages preferred such as Pashto, Burmese, Rohingya, Swahili, French, Tigrinya, Spanish or Kinyarwanda.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and refugee social services programs preferred
  • Valid Texas driver’s license (or obtain one if new Texas resident) and minimum mandatory Texas automobile insurance coverage required
  • Some evenings and weekends required, flex schedule will be arranged as necessary to accommodate.
